The room was absolutely amazing, with a comfy seating area that provided breathtaking views of the street below and the majestic mountains. The onsen experience was mind-blowing, with both indoor and outdoor options and changing male/female times, allowing us to fully enjoy both. The friendly staff went above and beyond to offer their assistance, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast spread had a wide variety of high-quality options, satisfying all taste buds. We took a scenic route back from the snow monkey park, passing through the enchanting forest and soothing Shibu Onsen.

Nestled near several ski fields with a shuttle to Jigokudani park, this traditional Japanese hotel is perfectly located. Staff welcomes you with English and serve a delicious breakfast with local produce. Rooms are well-equipped with private onsen options, while some even offer stunning views of the nearby mountains. Free shuttle service to nearby restaurants adds to the convenience and charm.
Some parts of the hotel could use an update, including the outdated bathrooms.

the hotel is conveniently located near the train station and offers a free transfer service. the staff at the front desk spoke excellent English and provided us with a helpful guide on how to use the onsen and other facilities. the traditional ryokan design was beautiful and our room was spacious with a sitting area. the highlight of our stay was definitely the outdoor bath, set in a temple garden with steam rising, it was absolutely magical. Dinner included 14 delicious dishes and the breakfast was fantastic too. the hotel also provided transfers to the monkey park.

I recently stayed at Yorozuya Annex Yurakuan for a few nights while visiting the Jigokudani Snow Monkeys. The hotel offers a convenient shuttle service to and from the train station, which was a nice touch. The room itself was amazing, with a deep bath and a traditional Japanese-style onsen that my husband loved. The hotel is located just a short walk from the train station, making it easy to access the bus to the snow monkeys. The staff, although not fluent in English, were incredibly accommodating. it was a great experience.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
